In my life, I have not always been the smartest person when it comes to money.  Luckily, I have grown up enough that I don't make the same mistakes now.  Anyways, my youthful mistakes have begun to catch up with me in the form of bill collectors.  One bill in particular, an old cellular bill, caught up with me last month.  I received a letter stating that the collection agency was willing to settle for half of the original amount that I owed.  Now, I will get to the miraculous part of this story.  I am currently unemployed.  So, even though this company was nice enough to reduce the amount that I owed them, I still could not afford to pay the bill.  It was a Friday afternoon when I received the letter, and the first thing I did, after agonizing about what to do, was gave it over to God.  Fast Forward through the weekend to Monday.  Monday morning I had a surprise visit from a good friend who just happened to bring me half of the amount of the bill.  When my friend brought the money by, I thought, "OK God, that's half of the money.  Now if only You could provide the rest."  I was kind of sarcastic in my "prayer", but God must have had a sense of humor.  He heard my prayer and later that evening, another friend dropped by and handed me the other half of that bill. I was absolutely blown away.  Immediately I said a quick "Thank You" to God and filled out the check I was going to send in.  God really does watch out for us.  "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."  Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
